1.  Enjoy a day at the beach: Twelve miles of public beaches sit among the 68 miles of coastline in Falmouth. There is a fee for parking.  Old Silver Beach seems to be the most popular and parking fills up early. 

2. Visit the Nobska Lighthouse: The lighthouse is open for tours at scheduled times throughout the year. Overlooking the harbors of Woods Hole and Falmouth, this is an excellent spot for picture taking.

3. Ride the Shining Sea Bike Trail: This 4 mile paved bike path winds through woods and beside sea. The trail is based upon Wampanoag Indian paths who occupied this territory in prehistoric times.  This trail is perfect for all ages and abilities and bikes are available for rent from area merchants.

4. National Marine Fisheries Service Aquarium: Located in Woodshole, one of the villages in Falmouth, this small but interesting aquarium features local sea life. There is also a hands-on tank featuring star fish and sea cucumbers.  The most entertaining attraction is the two harbor seals in an outdoor pool. Admission is free.

5. Cruise over to Martha’s Vineyard: Both passengers and cars can board this ferry at the Woods Hole terminal. Take in the sights and sounds of the sea aboard this 45-minute cruise to Martha’s Vineyard.
