5 Things You Must Do in Minneapolis

Minneapolis Car Rental

A city of impressing skyscrapers placed in the midst of lakes, Minneapolis holds many attractions. It’s ideal for a weekend getaway.

1. Visit Mall of America
Here you walk through America's largest shopping mall. Apparently it has  more visitors annually than Disney World, the Grand Canyon and Graceland combined. This is indeed a world-class shopping experience, all kinds of food, tons of entertainment, and an indoor theme park. The Mall of America has over 530 specialty shops, restaurants and nightclubs, 14 movie theatres, a walk-through aquarium, and more.

2. Have a nice evening in Minneapolis theatre scene
With more than thirty theatres, Minneapolis has more seats per capita than any U.S. city except New York. See a Broadway show and enjoy dinner and live jazz at a fabulous restaurant

3. Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
Definitely make time to walk around the sculpture garden. It's pleasant. There's a nice view of the city and great giant spoon and cherry photo ops. There are also a few fun restaurants over the walkway.  For more information on the Gardens click on the link.

4. Mill City Museum
Experience the history of the flour milling industry through multi-sensory and interactive exhibits and games. The museum is in midst the ruins of the Washburn.  For more information on the Mill click on the link.

5. Visit the Minnehaha Park
This is one of the city's oldest  parks and very popular. Stretched out towards the south-east of the city and along the shores of the Mississippi at the 55 ft high Minnehaha ( natives translate it as  "Laughing Water"). A quite interesting sight is statues of Hiawatha and Minnehaha, the chief characters in Longfellow's "Song of Hiawatha".  For more information on the Park click on the link.
