5 things you must do in San Antonio

San Antonio Car Rental

San Antonio is a city steeped in history and natural beauty.  Yet, in addition to the “headlining attractions” of this Texan city, there are a few unique sites that everyone should make sure to see during their stay.

1. Remember The Alamo.   Remember the Alamo by visiting one of history’s most popular sites.  The Alamo, itself, was constructed as a mission and became part of US History when Mexico attacked Texas.  Within The Alamo, there is a museum that provides a history of events, as well as memorabilia from the era.

2. The Natural Bridge Caverns.    The Natural Bridge Caverns offer some of nature’s most amazing sites.  There is a 70-minute tour of this underground wonder as well as a chance for the adventurous to climb portions of the cavern.

3. San Antonio Missions National Historic Parks.    San Antonio Missions National Historic Parks is a collection of missions and other architectural places of Spanish influence.  The visitor center shows a 20-minute presentation and contains a gift and book shop.

4. El Mercado.    Otherwise known as Market Square is over 30 shops and venues that gives visitors a chance to take a little of San Antonio home.  If shopping isn’t your thing, then enjoy the views and the sounds of the mariachi bands.

5. Guinness Book of World Records Museum.     For something a little quirky, visit the Guinness Book of World Records Museum, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure and Davy Crockett’s Tall Tale Ride.  These interactive attractions bring the famous record book to life, gives visitors a good scare and tells Davy Crockett’s story with actors and animatronics.
