Naples, Marco Island and the western portion of the Everglades make up Southwest Florida's Collier County – also known as The Paradise Coast. 4.Visit the Collier County Museum.   The museum’s exhibits show what the area was like more than 10,000 years ago, when Paleoindians as well as mastodons, camels, mammoths and huge herds of bison and deer roamed the area. 

5.Go on a shelling tour. Some natives are willing to share the secret that the beaches of the Paradise Coast region of Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades are filled with keepsake shells; this tour is fun for families or a bunch of friends.
