Lodi is a city located in the San Joaquin County in California. A recent estimate shows that there are more than 68,500 people in this area. The place has gained significance, especially due to its fantastic wine production activity. It has been referred as the Zinfandel Capital of the World.

1) The Lodi Spring Wine Festival: The Lodi Spring Wine Festival is held in late March and early April at the Lodi Festival Grounds. The event features wines from several dozen Northern California vineyards, and offers live music, food, and arts & crafts.

2) The Lodi Grape Festival:  Held every autumn (dates vary), the Lodi Grape Festival allows visitors to mingle among Lodi’s many wine-making families.  Visitors may also tour local cellars and attend seminars on wine production.  Tickets allow visitors to tour any of Lodi’s participating wineries.

3) The Zinfest: Of course, the Lodi Zinfest features the area’s top Zinfandel wines.  The event is held in May, and offers food, live entertainment, a wine shop, and a cooking school!

4) The Sandhill Crane Festival: The Sandhill Crane Festival is sponsored by the Lodi Chamber of Commerce, and offers a series of bird-watching events and guided tours for Crane enthusiasts from around the globe. 

5) The Isenberg Crane Reserve: The Isenberg Crane reserve is open only for guided tours, and offers trails for hiking, boardwalks, and small boats for navigating the marshes. 
The Spring Wine Show is also a huge tourist draw card, held every March/ April, showcasing the region's 50 or so wineries.
