Driving Tips

When setting out on a journey , however short, it is worth knowing some driving tips to make that drive all the more pleasant!.

Road Condition -  Try to consider the road and weather conditions before setting out.  Check local news to find out more.

Speed limits -  Take note of the speed limits for the area as you can still break the law on holiday!.

Supplies - Ensure you had adequate supplies for the trip, to include water and oil and food and drink for yourselves.

Map -  Ensure you have the correct map for the trip and that it is up to date.

Fighting Fatigue - feeling tired can seriously impair judgement and put everyone at risk.  Always take regular breaks and never drive tired.

Parking - Check your parking areas and ensure you have change for the meters when needed.

Avoid being hit for inflated petrol charges - All companies appearing on Vroom release the vehicle to you with a full tank of petrol.  Check the tank is full before you drive away and report it immediately if it is not.  Always fill up the car at the nearest garage to the drop off depot when returning or you will be charged. Be clever and fill the tank up before you return the car and check the tank is full to start with!.

Smile please -  A disposable camera is worthwhile to keep in your hire car at all times.  Why? you may ask. Well, we recommend a disposable camera to record various situations that may occur such as:  car damage, condition of the car before and after hire, tyre clamping; accident sites and of course any scenic views you may come across.

Car rental companies on Vroom have minimal complaints, and most are dealt with professionally and quickly. Having photographic evidence to back up you disputes with ensure a prompt solution. Another good idea is to buy a daily newspaper to record the date and times.

Happy Driving!
