Farmington Canal
was a private canal built in the early 19th century to provide transportation from New Haven into the interior of Connecticut. The place quickly became a railroad in the mid 19th century and in recent years has been converted to a multi-use trail after being abandoned for years. People can still see today the remnant of days gone by, such as old locomotives and the old trail. It is a great place to visit, adults and children alike.

The Quinnipiac Trail
is a 24 mile hiking trail near Cheshire, in Connecticut. Within the park, the tourists can see the Sleeping Giant State Lookout Tower. You can even climb up and enjoy the wonderful scenery. You can also take long walks or hikes on the paths. Be sure to wear the appropriate footwear, as the paths are pretty difficult. Take advantage of the wonderful landscape and make a stop at Quinnipiac Trail.
