Santa Clara is a city in the state of California in the U.S. The city was founded in 1777 and has been named after Mission Santa Clara de Asis, eighth of the 21 California Missions. The city has a population slightly greater than 100,000 and the following are the prime attractions in the city:
Cupertino
Cupertino is located on western edge of Santa Clara Valley in California. The Spanish explorer Juan Bautista named a creek in the area after the name of Saint Joseph of Cupertino. The creek was then renamed as Stevens Creek and the town was named Cupertino. A rural economy engaged in fruit harvesting has become the heart of the Silicon Valley. Several leading computer companies have their head offices located here.
