How to write a travel journalA travel journal is a great way to keep memories of your next holiday. After the memories have faded you can read your travel journal and re-live your favourite holiday, the best thing about writing a travel journal is that you can write anything no matter how silly. After all you'll be the one reading it! There are no rules to writing a travel journal but there are lots of tips and hints out there to help you along the way. First things, first, the journal itself should be sturdy to write on and should be interesting, unless you plan to rewrite all your notes neatly on another notebook (which we all know never happens). Remember to always purchase an interesting and funky looking hardcover notebook to write in. As you are planning your holiday start writing in your travel journal. Think of it as your personal travel guide, write down your trip plan dates, addresses and phone numbers. Keep a list of your pre made reservation like your hotel phone number address and reservation number. Don't stress too much about writing every little detail, write when you have some down time or when you are in transit from place to place. Leave some room for pictures to be added! that will make your journal much more interesting. Think outside the box. Stick interesting tickets or momentos in your journal as you go. At the risk of becoming a scrapbook your journal will keep all those souveniers and momentos in a place where you will remember why they are momentos in the first place. Don't worry about writing neatly as you don't have to publish it! Happy writing!
