Present-day Hesperia grew and gained industry after the completion of Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad tracks in 1874. Desert Willow RV Resort Park, located on Main Street, provides 174 RV sites for short- or long-term stays. This campervan park features free Wi-Fi, pull-through spaces, back-in spaces, a propane filling station on site at nominal prices, a billiard room, a library, barbecue grills, picnic tables, a large grass area for activities, and much more.

Willow Oak Estates Mobile Home Park is a sister part of Desert Willow. Willow Oak Estates consists of a manufactured home community consisting of 181 sites designed to support any manufactured home.

Mojave River Forks Park Campground, located on Highway 173, is a regional park. It has full hookup RV sites, as well as dry sites with no hookups. The rates will vary based on the chosen site, of course. The park has some shade, but fewer amenities than your average RV park.


Featured attractions within and near Hesperia

Hesperia Golf and Country Club, located on Bangor Avenue, provides golf lessons for all ages and is a perfect location for wedding receptions, banquets, anniversaries, and other special events. Although Hesperia is nestled in the desert with its dry and dusty terrain, the country club offers plenty of golfing on rich, lush greens. The Hesperia Golf and Country Club is operated by the Hesperia Recreation and Park District.

Daggett Museum, located on Second Street in the city of Daggett, provides the history of a town originally called Calico Junction, but renamed after John Daggett in the spring of 1883. Throughout Daggett's history, silver and borax played the major role and it survives today with a rich history. Other notable museums in the area are Harrison Exhibit Center, Mojave River Valley Museum, Route 66 Museum, and Victor Valley Museum.

Mojave Narrows Regional Park is situated along the Mojave River on Yates Rd, in the city of Victorville. This park contains the biggest strand of riparian wetland and contains more than 1,500 species of wildlife. It is also a perfect place for bird lovers. In addition, the surrounding area of Hesperia provides plenty of desert exploration both on foot and in vehicles.
