Enterprise Terms & Conditions

The below T&Cs (including prices and taxes) are provided by Enterprise and may change without notice to Vroom Vroom Vroom.

This quote includes:

  • Location service charge.
  • Stamp duty.
  • Signified kilometre amount (generally unlimited, see Enterprise for extra mileage charges).
  • Vehicle licensing charge.
  • One way fees if applicable.
  • Airport taxes and surcharges if applicable.
  • All vehicle fees related to the booking, eg. Vehicle drop fees, all recovery fees, premium location fees, corporate location fees wherever applicable.

This quote will not include:

  • Fuel
  • Insurance (See next paragraph*)
  • Child seats or booster seats Rates vary by location but average about $10 US per day Child seats are available at some locations, but cannot be reserved online at this time. Please contact the Enterprise office in the city you wish to rent from to discuss the availability of child seats.
  • Extra miles (if your rental has limited mileage, each additional kilometre over the limit will be charged )
  • An age surcharge of approximately USD$10 per day for renters under 25 years of age (can vary location to location)
  • Any extras signed up for upon arrival, e.g. vehicle snow equipment.
  • All extras and additional services will attract additional local percentage taxes and surcharges. Prices below are exclusive of these as they vary state to state.

* Important information about car rental insurance

For US citizens
Some US credit cards and personal car insurance policies do provide car rental insurance so please check with your credit card provider and personal auto insurance policy for details.

Visiting the US from another country
It is illegal to drive in the US without car insurance. Your travel insurance probably only covers the excess so check the fine print in your travel insurance policy.

All extras and additional services will attract additional local percentage taxes and surcharges. Prices below are exclusive of these as they vary state to state.

Age Surcharge

If you are under the age of 25 there will be no cars available to you unless it is a replacement vehicle for a car repair.
If you would like to add an additional driver that is over 25 than there will be an additional charge of $10.00 per day.

Drivers License

All drivers must have a valid U.S., Canadian, or foreign driver's license. An International Driver's Permit is required with all non-English foreign licenses. All drivers must have a major credit card in their own name and be at least 21 years of age or older.

Additional Drivers

Each driver must be present at the time the rental contract is signed. All additional drivers must qualify the same as the primary driver : they must be at least 25 years of age or older, have a valid drivers license, and a major credit card in their name. There may be a fee for each additional driver, with the exception of spouses and domestic partners, who may be added to the rental contract at no additional charge. In the United Kingdom and Ireland all additional drivers must pay a fee.

Payment Method

A major credit card in the renter's name is required for a deposit on all rentals.
When the rental is returned, debit card, or a major credit card can be
accepted to pay for the rental. Traveler's checks can be used for rentals in the United States and Canada.
The person responsible for payment is expected to be the primary driver and must be present to sign the contract at the time of rental. The primary driver must also have a driver's license and major credit card in his or her name. For these reasons, you would not be able to pay for another person's rental with Enterprise.

Using Debit Cards in the US

Although you may use a debit card, pre-paid card, or another form of payment to pay for the final charges on the vehicle, you will need to provide a major credit card at the time of the rental to secure the rental transaction. A major credit card is a card that is supported by a pre-determined line of credit, and not a bank account, or a pre-paid balance.
