The below T&Cs (including prices and taxes) are provided by Fox Rent a Car and may change without notice to VroomVroomVroom.

This quote includes:

• All taxes, airport taxes and surcharges if applicable
• Stated mileage amount (generally unlimited, see below for extra mileage charges)
• Vehicle Registration fee
• One way fees if applicable
• All vehicle fees related to the booking e.g. Vehicle drop fees, all recovery fees, premium location fees, corporate location fees wherever applicable.

This quote will not include:

• Fuel
• Insurance (See next paragraph*)
• Child seats or booster seats (can be purchased after confirmation for generally $7.00 US per day).
• An age surcharge of $20.00 per day for renters under 25 years of age.
• Any extras signed up for upon arrival, e.g GPS at around $11.50 per day

* Important information about car rental insurance

For US citizens

Some US credit cards and personal car insurance policies do provide car rental insurance so please check with your credit card provider and personal auto insurance policy for details.

Visiting the US from another country

It is illegal to drive in the US without car insurance. Your travel insurance probably only covers the excess so check the fine print in your travel insurance policy.

Payment

Major credit cards: Valid driver’s license and credit card must be in the same name. Credit card must have available funds of $150.00 or estimated amount of rental charges whichever is greater. At time of rental credit card funds will be taken as a deposit against rental charges.

NOTE: We do not accept the miniature key tag style credit cards.

NOTE: Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take between 2 to 5 days to appear back on your account when using this form of payment.

Debit cards: Debit card only accepted at time of rental when presented with the return flight segment of a round trip airline ticket. Return segment can be presented in the form of the actual ticket or an electronic ticket. At time of rental the counter representative will take a copy of the presented document and attach to the original rental document retained at the location. Valid driver’s license and debit card must be in the same name. Debit card must have available funds of $250.00 plus total estimated rental charges. Available on rental of vehicle classes Economy thru Full Size and Mini Van only.

NOTE: Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take up to 14 days to appear back on your account when using this form of payment.

Cash rentals: Refer direct to Fox Rent a Car for this option as a qualifying Method of Payment at the time of rental must be satisfied: https://www.foxrentacar.com/RentalPolices.aspx

Prepaid cards: Prepaid Visa/MasterCard are not accepted as a form of payment at time of rental.

Payment at car return: Debit cards, prepaid Visa/MasterCard, and cash always accepted as payment upon return.

Insurance

Refer to the depot of pick up (link above) for insurance details. Vehicles are supplied with liability coverage that meets state minimums. The renter is financially responsible for all damages not covered under the liability policy including, but not limited to the FOX rental vehicles full value.

Roadside Assistance Program (RSA)

If you purchase our Roadside Service Assistance (RSA) we will waive all, or a portion of, the cost of a roadside assistance service call up to the amount of $400.00 per incident. You may purchase RSA at $2.99 per rental day. Benefits include emergency road service towing, winching, jump start, flat tire change, lockout service, and emergency fuel delivery. Some restrictions apply ask for a copy of an RSA brochure at the rental counter.

Mexico Insurance

FOX offers the purchase of Mexico Insurance (Major credit card only) on vehicle rentals of economy thru full size only. Mexico insurance must be purchased at a FOX location in Los Angeles, San Diego or Phoenix ONLY at the time of rental or after it, but prior to travel to Mexico. Rates start at $25.00 per 24 hour day including tax. Hybrids and other vehicles not allowed traveling into Mexico. Travel is allowed to cities in Mexico close to California and Arizona border.

Age

Minimum age for renters and drivers is 21.

NOTE: Minimum age for renters and drivers on government orders is 18. Renters and drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage charge of $20.00 per day.

One-way

One-way rentals are available between FOX corporate locations in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Washington only. Drop charges vary depending on the location. NOTE - Hybrid vehicles are not allowed on one way rentals to certain locations.

FOX does not charge a cancellation fee, but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed.

Honor Reservations

Reservations will be honored for a period of three hours after the confirmed pick up date and time.

Early Late Return

Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. Returning the vehicle early or keeping the vehicle past the confirmed return date subjects you to a higher daily and/or weekly charge as follow:
Late return: The rate will increase by $10 per day for the extension period only.
Early return: The rate will increase by $10 per day not to exceed the original total amount of rental.

Multiple or Duplicate Reservations

If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be cancelled. FOX will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.

Gas

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges.

Emergency Info

FOX is pleased to offer roadside assistance in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming only. Simply call the toll-free emergency roadside service number located on your FOX Rental agreement holder.

Equipment

In California, state laws require children six years of age or younger less than 60 pounds in weight to be in a child restraint device. In Arizona, children five years of age or younger must be in a child restraint device. There is a $7.00 per day fee for child seats. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damage a repair or replacement charge will be applied.

GPS

GPS Units are available for rent at $11.49 per day. Please ask for details at the time of rental.

Geographic

Vehicles must remain in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming only.

• NOTE: You may drive a FOX vehicle into Mexico, but only if you have purchased Mexico insurance, see INSURANCE above
• NOTE: You may drive a FOX vehicle into Canada, but only if the vehicle was rented from the FOX Seattle location.

Traveling to Mexico

FOX offers the purchase of Mexico Insurance (Major credit card only) on vehicle rentals of economy thru full size only. Mexico insurance must be purchased at a FOX location in Los Angeles, San Diego or Phoenix ONLY at the time of rental or after it, but prior to travel to Mexico. Rates start at $25.00 per 24 hour day including tax. Hybrids and certain other vehicles are not allowed to travel into Mexico. Travel is allowed to cities in Mexico close to California and Arizona border.

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age, license, and major credit card. Additional drivers not available on cash rentals nor debit cards. An additional driver charge of $8.00 per day per additional driver applies in Phoenix, Arizona, a charge of $5.00 per day per additional driver applies in Seattle, Washington, and a charge of $10.00 per day per additional driver applies in Salt Lake City, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rules

Miles Rental rates are unlimited miles.

Extensions To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location. If vehicle is kept longer than the return date stated on the rental agreement (contract), the rate will increase by $10.00 per day. The increased rate will be charged for each day after due return date, until the vehicle is returned.

Drop off If vehicle is returned to a different office as stated on the rental agreement (contract), renter will be charged the current one-way drop fee.

Length of rental Rental agreements (contract) cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement (contract). The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace period A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement (contract) at the time of rental. There is a 59 minutes grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After three hours full-day charge may apply.

Rental Requirements All renters/drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply: A valid driver's license (U.S., Canadian or international licenses with a valid passport are accepted), current home address (not P.O.Box), a current home phone number, and second contact phone number (cell or business).
