West Paterson is a region in Passaic province, New Jersey in the United States. Formed on March 25th, 1914 from part of the Little Falls Township, most of the current residents are White Americans. This constitutes 87% of the population who are predominantly of Italian ancestry. The town has more married couples living together with children under the age of 18 than any part of the USA and hence there are a number of educational institutions situated in the region.
Morris Canal is a National Registered landmark and the Passaic River is a clean and pleasant waterway, which serves as an attractive location for amusement parks, ball fields, hotels and a racetrack.
