The Penn Springs Historical Park
is a multipurpose venue located in Duncanville. The park has three major features: the natural side, which gives people a chance to be close to nature in the middle of the city, to have leisure time in a clean environment; the historical side, where you may wish to admire some of the local memorabilia of the first settlements, remains carved in stone and small ruins; lasly the park incorporates a child day care facility, called Childtime, where you can find great activities and programs for your children.

The Escarpment Nature Preserve
is the place to visit for nature lovers and not only. The entire family can benefit from taking a tour of the natural reservation, just outside the city limits of Duncanville and Cedar Hill. There are many wonderful sights to see, as the earth has formed unique landscapes and froms here. In addition to this, you can enter bird watching or wildlife watching tours, admire species you have never seen before and learn more about the way they look and their behavior. Nearby, you can also explore the vast grounds of the Cedar Hill State Park, which has about the same functions as the Escarpment Nature Preserve.

Duncanville is part of Dallas County, Texas and began as a small settlement.  As the railroad was built in the area in the late 1800's Duncanville grew into a town. This suburb of Dallas takes pride in its appearance and was awarded the Tree City USA designation in 2002.

1. Visit Kidsville at Armstrong Park: The 21.4 acres of developed park land is home 
to Kidsville. Kidsville is the largest volunteer built playground in the world. It features swings, space tunnels, castles, bridges, fire poles and much more.  This playground was also built so disabled children could access much of the fun as well.

2. Dr. Pepper Star Center: This hockey arena is home to the 1999 Stanley Cup champion Dallas Stars hockey team.  The 95,000 square foot center features two indoor regulation hockey rinks are open to the public for ice-skating and lessons. 

3. Dallas Nature Center at Cedar Hill State Park: An excellent place to visit for bird 
watching. This 630-acre facility provides guided walks and many education programs.

4. The International Museum of Cultures: This museum caters to educating both 
children and adults about cultures around the world.  Permanent and temporary exhibits are displayed depicting the daily lives of modern day cultures. The museum is open Monday – Friday from 10am until 4pm.

5.  Visit Main Station: This is the newest hot spot in town.  Main Station is a combination retail and apartment living facility. Shop, eat, or enjoy a relaxing massage at the Remede Spa and Wellness Center in Main Station.
