Apex is a lovely small town in the North Carolina state, serving as a suburb of Raleigh, as well. The Apex Union Depot is one of the oldest buildings in the region, and it designates a historic railroad station, which was constructed in 1914. With a double fireplace, ticket windows and original switchmen lanterns, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Knights Play Golf Center is an impressive facility, which spans on no less than 105 acres. Those who are passionate about golf will be thrilled with the complex, but people who do not know how to play will have a wonderful time, as well. They can either learn how to play, or enjoy the many facilities that the center offers.
Fun Works, as the name suggests, is the place where you and your family will have tons of fun. Children will particularly love this amusement park, as they will have the chance to ride on many carousels, roller-coasters and other fun machines.
The Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is the best place to relax and to spend a wonderful day in the outdoors. You will be able to enjoy many activities here in the core of the nature, including fishing, boating, windsurfing, hiking and birdwatching of the American Bald Eagle.
Apex lies in the Chatham Railroad network and was incorporated in 1873. It is one of the most intact railway towns in America. The town's motto of “The Peak of Good Living” has come true as it was ranked 14th in the CNN list for top100 small towns of America.

3.See the New Hope Valley Railway: Just 10 minutes outside Apex, this delightful train museum offers rides every half and hour from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. every first Sunday of each month.
4. Eat in the Daniel's Pizza Pasta café: Dine in this award winning museum for their NY style pizza and gourmet pasta. They have a very good wine list and are very family oriented and kid friendly.
5. See the unique Out of Kiln: It is a shop with a working studio where pottery and glass works are made and sold. The products are both decorative and useful. The store also offers classes and sells their product in the historical Downtown Apex.
