Colt State Park
is a wonderful park that adjoins the town of Bristol and it includes trails, picnic groves, a public boat ramp, an observation tower and the open air Chapel by the Sea. The park lands were previously owned by the infamous Samuel P.Colt. He built a summer house on the grounds that was a replica of the Versailles Petit Trianon. After his death, the place was vandalized,but you can still see the remains of what was once this beautiful estate. Still, you can enjoy a walk on the beach and the wonderful scenery.

Bristol Ferry Light
is a lighthouse station situated at the base of the Mount Hope Bridge. The lighthouse was built in 1855 and was discontinued in 1927 with the construction of the Mount Hope Bridge. The Bristol Ferry Lighthouse can still be seen today and it is one of the landmarks of Bristol. It is worth visiting it.

Mount Hope Bridge
is a two-lane suspension bridge spanning the Mount Hope Bay. Before the bridge was built, there was a ferry boat which was operating between Bristol and Portsmouth. It is one of the landmarks of Bristol and has remained to this day the longest suspension bridge for forty years. If you are around Bristol, be sure not to miss out on it.
