The nickname of Tierra de Gigantes was given in honor of notable residents like Julia de Burgos, a poet and Roberto Clemente, baseball player. Parque Conmemorativo Julia de Burgos - Julia de Burgos Memorial Parks is a park hosting also a museum dedicated to the national poet of Puerto Rico.
