Cuyahoga Falls is located in the Summit County, in the State of Ohio. As the second largest city in the county, Cuyahoga Falls has a population of approximatively 50,000 inhabitants. Cuyahoga Falls is a part of two regions: the Cleveland-Akron-Elyria Combined Statistical Area and the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. Established in 1812 by William Wetmore, Cuyahoga Falls is now part of the suburban locations around Akron and Cleveland.

Originally named Manchester it was renamed Cuyahoga Falls after the Cuyahoga River that flows through the middle of the city. The number of waterfalls of Cuyahoga River was the driving force to establish an industrial city using hydra-power for manufacturing.
