Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home
was raised in a typical American style in 1891 and it gained popularity many years later after Ronald Reagan was elected president. After this important event, the house was turned into a museum. Ronald Reagan lived in this particular Dixon house since the age of nine and he stated that he always associates this house with important events that happened during his childhood. Nowadays, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and guided tours can be taken to find out more about its history.


The Lincoln Monument
is a statue erected in bronze of the first American president – Abraham Lincoln and it commemorates his service in the Black Hawk War in 1832. The monument if located in the President’s Park from Dixon and it was sculpted by Leonard Crunelle and revealed to the public in 1930.


The Petunia Festival
is held annually in Dixon and features a parade, live concerts and fireworks show. The festival is dedicated to the flowers that were planted by the Dixon Men Garden Club in the early 1960s to adorn the streets after a disease wiped out the trees in the late 1950s.
