Dorchester is a neighborhood of Boston, located in Massachusetts in the Suffolk County. Dorchester was established in May 1630 and incorporated days later, in the 1st of June of the same year. 140 years later, Dorchester was annexed to Boston and became one of the most wonderful neighborhoods of this great city. Dorchester is named after the English town with the same name from Dorset County and the locals affectionately call it Dot. A lot of important people in the history of the United States of America were either natives or residents of Dorchester. First Parish Church of Dorchester
is really the first church in the city, built as early as 1631. The first form this worship place had was a log cabin. The first town meeting was held at this church. Franklin Park Zoo
