Foley is a charming city in the state of Alabama, located more exactly in Baldwin County. The history of Foley goes back to the early 1900s and the name of the city comes from its founder, John B. Foley of Chicago. He was headed to President McKinley's funeral, in 1901, when he met a railroad agent who introduced him to the area that is now Foley. As he liked what he saw, he came back and started investing in the area. By 2005, Foley already had its own railroad station and thus the development of the city began. Now, there are 7.590 people living in Foley, according to the 2010 census, making it an important part of and the principal city in the Daphne - Fairhope - Foley Micropolitan Area.
