Franklin is the county seat of Williamson County, Tennessee, United States of America. In present times, Franklin has a population of 62.000 people and an area of 30 square miles, but the city was established in 1799. The founder of the city was Abram Maury, Jr., who named the town Franklin in honor of Benjamin Franklin. Wine Down Main Street is a wine tasting event that is held on the first Friday of each November in Franklin. The wine tasting requires a certain fee and the charitable event raises money for the Boys & Girls Club from Tennessee and Williamson County.

Pumpkinfest is another charitable event held annually in Franklin. On the Saturday before Halloween, a celebration is held - with games, food, music and other types of entertainment. The event is organized in order to raise money for the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County.
