Franklin is the county seat of Williamson County, Tennessee, United States of America. In present times, Franklin has a population of 62.000 people and an area of 30 square miles, but the city was established in 1799. The founder of the city was Abram Maury, Jr., who named the town Franklin in honor of Benjamin Franklin.
