Nowadays, Mount Wachusett offers associate degrees and transfer programs. MWCC offers degrees in sciences and arts. In the spring of 2007, the college won the Chill-Out Campus Solutions to Global Warming competition thanks to the new ideas of use of the renewable energy the students proposed.

Dunn State Park is located in Gardner on a land donated by John Ainsworth Dunn in 1915. He had a furniture company in Gardner, but during the Great Depression, his business closed. The park has 119 acres and has a lot of recreation opportunities. It includes picnic areas, playgrounds and even a pond where you can swim, near to a field which is great for playing sports and exercising. If you need to relax in the middle of the nature, this is the perfect place to do it.
