Hamilton Square is a colonial village and also a suburban area within Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States of America. Hamilton Square was established in 1692 and it also has a surrounding area called Suburban Hamilton Square. The village was named in honor of Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of the United States of America.

Before receiving this name, Hamilton Square was called Nottingham, exactly like the British town. Hamilton Square has a population of approximately 26.000 residents. Among all these people, famous are Dan Donigan - head coach of Rutgers University soccer team, Janice Harsanyi - soprano singer, Dahntay Jones - Indiana Pacers player and politician George R.
