Hixson is an unincorporated community located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States of America. Hixson is also part of the Chattanooga metro area. Although a small city and a relatively young one, Hixson is great for spending some free days here, at least a weekend in order to be able to visit all the attractions. Stories revolving around the city say that the locality received its name from judge Ephraim Hixson or from postmaster and store owner in the area - E.F. Hixon. No matter who is the godfather of the city, Hixson is really beautiful and deserves a visit.
