Kennet Square is a small borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Kennet Square is also known as the Mushroom Capital of the World, because mushroom farming in the region produces over a million pounds a week. To celebrate this heritage, Kennet Square has an annual Mushroom Festival, where the town shuts down to have a parade, tour mushroom farms, and buy and sell mushrooms and other foods. 

According to the 2010 census, the total population of Kennet Square was of 6072 residents. The area to become known as Kennet Square was originally inhabited by the Native Americans.

Longwood Gardens spread out over 1000 acres and includes 20 distinct gardens in the conservatory alone. If you have any spare time at all, you will be glad to have visited the Kennet Square Gardens. The expansive gardens, with its wide varieties of trees, and delightful children's garden are something unique in Kennet Square. Children have also got the possibility of going up on the many tree houses that are specially built for them.

Marlborough Valley Corn Maize is an attraction that is a bit off the beaten track, but the drive until there is well worth it. The children can enjoy the corn maze and can pick corn off the stalks to feed the animals there. There is even a miniature horse, a calf, and numerous goats the children can enjoy feeding and petting. Everybody can enjoy firing the corn cannon. If you hit the target, you can eat ice cream for free. The venue has also got a restaurant, a snack bar and restrooms.

The Mushroom Cap features a wide array of mushroom products from Kennet Square, from gifts, collectibles, to fresh mushrooms and other products.
