There are many rental car companies operating at LAX, but all their sites are located off the airport grounds. Almost all of these maintain free phones in or near the baggage claim areas on each terminal's lower level, so you can call for a free shuttle to transport you to get your affordable car rental.
At Los Angeles International Airport, the major rental car companies pick up and drop off their customers at purple "Rental Car Shuttle" signs on the islands outside baggage claim. These include Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless, and Thrifty.
Dozens of other car rental firms can be reached using the phones we mentioned earlier! Just look for the "Visitors Information Centers" in the baggage claim areas. Then you can use a free LAX shuttle bus to get to the Off-Airport Rental Car Terminal and meet your rental car courtesy shuttle. Customers board the shuttle buses on the islands under the blue signs.
