Middleton is an American city located in Dane County, in the state of Wisconsin. Middleton got its name from Middletown, Connecticut, only dropping the w. The city is a suburb of the state capital, Madison. In July 2009, Middleton was placed forth in a top of Best Places to Live in the United States of America. Middleton is also called the Good Neighbor City.
