Oceanside is a city in Southern California with a population of just under 190 thousand Americans. As its name indicates, this city is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered by the cities of Carlsbad and Vista, and by the giant United States Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton (to the north). Since the base opened in 1942, Oceanside has been both a home for U.S. armed forces personnel and – thanks to its 6-mile stretch of beaches – as a popular site for vacation home and “beach house” real estate development.
