Perrine is a small community in Miami-Dade County about midway between Miami and Homestead. The community was named after Dr. Henry Perrine, who in 1839 had been granted a survey township of land in the area. The community that became known as Perrine started as a railroad camp during the construction of the Florida East Coast Railway extension form Miami to Homestead. Although it is a small city, it has a lot of wonderful local attractions, as well as a wide range of accommodation, venues and restaurants.
