Plantation is a sunny city located in Broward County, Florida, United States of America. Plantation is the place where "The Grass is Greener", according to its motto. The number of residents recently surpassed 85.000 and the area has almost 22 square miles. The name of Plantation came from the previous owner of the land in the area - the Everglades Plantation Company. In 1941, Frederick C. Peters bought a large terrain from the company and the city started to develop. Since then, the city is continuously growing and expanding.
