The city of San Marcos is located along the San Marcos River. San Marcos is nicknamed San Marvelous and is considered one of the best places in the country to raise kids. The place also has other attractions like an anti-gravity house, a wildlife park, a miniature train, rides and all sort of games. Restaurant and picnic areas are available for those who want to stay in the park during the hours of the lunch.
San Marcos Square is the city center. It was built in 1851. Because of its many restaurants, cafes, clubs and shops, this is a hot spot of the residents. Especially the young locals prefer this area of San Marcos. Recently, the San Marcos Square was included in a very expensive project of restoration.
