Sylvan Lake is a small, yet charming city located in Oakland County, Michigan, United States of America. Sylvan Lake is situated near Pontiac, the county seat of Oakland. It has an area of less than a square mile and about 1700 residents. Sylvan Lake was settled in 1824. In 1921, it was incorporated as a village and in 1947 it was reincorporated as Sylvan Lake City.
