The Murrell Home is the only ante-bellum home that still stands in the whole state of Oklahoma. The Thompson House was raised in Tahlequah in 1882 in a Queen Anne Carpenter Gothic style with refined woodwork interiors. This was the home of a famous Cherokke physician that lived in Tahlequah - Joseph Thompson. His family lived in the house until the early 20th century.
