Taylor is a beautiful city located in Texas, United States. Situated in Williamson County, Taylor has an area of 13.6 square miles, over which lives a population of more than 13,500 residents, as the 2000 census indicated. The city was first settled in the 1870s as Taylorsville, becoming officially Taylor in 1892. Starting with 2008, Taylor has managed to draw an impressive number of new investors, while the largest employer in the city is Electric Reliability Council of Texas. Taylor is a lovely place to visit and due to the numerous wonderful venues that can be see here, all tourists can spend great vacations in the city.

Within the museum you will be able to see numerous fascinating exhibits depicting an important part of Taylor history, including original furnishing exhibits. The museum is located into the restored home of the Texas governor, Dan Moody. The house dates back to 1887, actually being built in an impressive Victorian style.
Murphy Park is a beautiful natural area of Taylor. There are numerous facilities that can be enjoyed in this location by people of all ages, including a swimming pool, biking and hiking trails, a tennis court, but also walking trails. You can relax in this natural spot during a lovely picnic, too. The Murphy Park also includes a miniature golf course.
