1. Telluride Historical Museum: Take a break from skiing or water rafting and visit the Telluride Historical Museum. Artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of this old mining town is located in what used to be the town's miner's hospital. 

2. Hike the Trails: Whether you decide to hike Bear Creek Trail or the San Miguel River Trail, you're bound to see plenty of trees, wildlife and enjoy the cool, crisp mountain air that blows over Telluride. Step back into time and enjoy the wilderness as it's truly meant to be seen.

3. Visit Town Park: Located right in downtown Telluride, this is family entertainment at its best. Kids can skateboard on the ramp or skate on the ice rink in winter or swim in the pool in summer.

4. See Tomboy Ghost Town: At the end of town, venture north at the end of Oak Street, and then look for a dirt road. Follow the road past the waterfall and through a tunnel and find yourself in another age as you suddenly step into the Tomboy Ghost Town.  

5. Check out The Gondola: The Gondola runs between Telluride and Mountain Village from 7:00 a.m. to midnight. The Gondola is closed from late April to May and then again from mid-October to November, but once the snow falls, be prepared to enjoy the ride of your life!
