Wytheville is a town you can visit in Wythe County, Virginia, United States of America. Wytheville is the county seat of Wythe County. In present, Wytheville has approximately 8,000 residents and an area of 14.4 square miles. The name of the city comes from "the father of the American jurisprudence", George Wythe, one of the men that also signed the Declaration of Independence. In the later 1980s, the city of Wytheville became famous for the numerous UFO sightings that are considered unresolved cased until today. Famous past or present residents of the city include Edith Bolling Galt Wilson, the wife of president Woodrow Wilson and politicians James Walker and E. Lee Trinkle.

Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum is a museum opened in honor of this former first lady of America, that was born in Wytheville. Chautauqua Festival is an event held in Wytheville each year. For the last 27 years, this was an important tradition of the city.
