Do any car rental companies have unlimited mileage?

Mileage

Unlimited free mileage means you can drive as many miles as you want and not be charged extra. When renting a car in the US, unlimited or free mileage is available for most car classes as offered by major car rental companies.

The suppliers determine both the rate and the miles allowance sent to the car rental comparison. Unfortunately, these allowances cannot be altered, or extended. You may want to refer to the suppliers' Terms and Conditions for the “extra miles” charge - under “not included in this quote”.

Keep in mind that the charge varies slightly for each supplier and their locations. So if you rent a car with unlimited mileage you will not be charged for an additional mileage for an amount that is stated in the suppliers' Terms and Conditions. You would also need to check the suppliers Terms and Conditions - that your travel is not in restricted areas. Travel must be on sealed bitumen roads.

When to choose unlimited mileage?

While hiring a vehicle with limited mileage may be more affordable than renting one with unlimited mileage, there are some situations when opting for an unlimited mileage can be the better option.

If you are driving a short distance, a limited mileage rental is recommended. However, for a long distance trip, going for an unlimited miles car rental may be more economical. This can be the ideal choice, as a time-and-mileage rate can be very expensive when you add up the additional mileage charges should you run over the agreed-upon limit at the time of rental.

Remember:
It is always recommended to read the Terms & Conditions and check your rental agreement carefully especially the mileage restrictions or be prepared to pay extra. In case the rental car company doesn't offer unlimited mileage initially on your booking, ask and inquire about it or make sure to contact our Customer Care Team.
