Best Spring Break Destinations in the USA According to Bloggers

top US spring break road trips

Looking for fun things to do this spring break? There are many amazing places in the United States where you can enjoy the sun, sand, views, and nightlife. VroomVroomVroom asked some of our awesome travel blogger friends to share their favorite spring break destinations to help you plan your vacation.

Southern Utah

Southern Utah offers an alternative to spring breakers looking for more than a sandy beach. While you could concentrate your time in Moab to explore Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, you won't escape the spring break crowds here. Instead, venture further south to the small town of Bluff for a few days of hiking on Cedar Mesa or exploring four-wheel-drive trails near Combs Ridge. Monument Valley, and her little sister, Valley of the Gods, are just down the road. Or visit Natural Bridges National Monument, the first designated dark sky park in the U.S. And whatever you do, don't miss driving the treacherous curves of the Moki Dugway.

South Florida

Our favorite Spring Break location in the United States is our own "back yard" - South Florida. We're home to one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in North America, going from Palm Beach down to Miami's iconic South Beach, and truly boast an impressive variety of different vibes along the way. Culturally, you can get lost in South Florida - in a very good way. Whether having your first Cuban cigar in Little Havana, partying along Lincoln and Washington on South Beach, camping in the Florida Keys or boating to the nearby Bahamian island of Bimini, South Florida really offers that freedom of feeling and exploration that we want in travel, and absolutely look for on Spring Break.

Yosemite National Park

Since I am not a huge 'sit on the beach' type person, for spring break I always liked doing something a little more adventurous. If that sounds like you, then I would recommend taking a trip to Yosemite National Park during spring break as it is a great time to visit and beat the summer rush. Also, I would recommend taking a road trip on Highway 395 which goes along the Eastern Sierras (mountain range). On the drive you can visit breweries, hang out in hot springs, fish in alpine lakes and hike some of the most beautiful places in California.
