Best time to visit Jasper

Driving tips in Jasper

Jasper is located just over 230 kilometres from Lake Louise. It is almost a four hour drive west from Edmonton. Driving times can vary along the popular Icefields Parkway depending on the season and the traffic.

If you are travelling in winter, take extra care on the highways when visibility is poor. Note that some roads may not be accessible through winter, and a number of attractions in the Rocky Mountains are closed at this time.
