Gallatin is a lovely city located in the state of Tennessee, more exactly in Sumner County, being the county seat at the same time. Gallatin was founded in 1802 and became incorporated in 1815. Cragfont is one of the oldest buildings in Gallatin, dating back to 1798. The property was the home of James Winchester, who served as a General in the 1812 War. Now, this beautiful Georgian building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rose Mont is another property in Gallatin which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its construction began in 1828 and was completed by 1842. The property was designed by the architect Josephus Conn Guild, in a wonderful Greek Revival architectural style.

Trousdale Palace is a truly impressive building in Gallatin. Now, the building is home to the Sumner County Museum and it is the best place to learn more about the history, culture and traditions of the region. This property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Bledsoe Creek State Park is one of the many parks you will find in Gallatin. Here, you can enjoy numerous activities, including hiking, walking and cycling on the 6-mile-long trail.
