Huntington, also known as Lime City, is a small town in the state of Indiana, with a population of 17.450 residents at the 2000 census. The town of Huntington was organised in 1834, by a group of pioneers, most notably Capt. Elias Murray. Huntington has grown economically and politically along the years, and has become an ideal holiday destination for many people. Although it is a small city, Huntington has a lot of wonderful attractions to offer its tourists, as well as a wide range of accommodation and venues.

The Wabash and Erie Canal was constructed through Huntington in 1834 and added major economic benefit to the area.
