Huntley is a rapidly growing village in the state of Illinois, with an estimated population of 22.923 residents, according to the 2000 census. Huntley was established in 1837, when the first settlers came to Grafton township. Huntley has developed both economically and socially, and has thus become an ideal destination for a short holiday or a weekend getaway. Pinecrest Golf Club is located in Huntley and it features 18 holes of championship golf open to the public. Pinecrest also features an all-grass practice range, during early spring and late fall, with three target greens and a practice sand. The course also offers courses for golfers of all skills, from experts to absolute beginners, as well as a pro shop, where you can purchase or rent the clubs and the golf carts from.

Delcke Park is located just southwest of downtown Huntley. Delcke Park is one of the largest parks in the village, and it houses a wide range of amenities, such as ballfields, picnic shelters,a large slide, playground equipment, basketball and tennis courts. There are also additions to the park, such as a Community Recreational Centre that features a large gymnasium and a fitness centre and the Stingray Bay Aquatic Centre, which features a zero depth entrance, water slides, water features, a snack bar and locker rooms.

Huntley Festivals and Traditions. There are constantly many festivals taking place in Huntley, which draw a considerable number of tourists. During Memorial Day, there is a parade through downtown Huntley, where various groups come together and honour veterans who died in wars, and culminating with an honour at the Huntley Cemetery. There is also the Huntley High School Fine Arts Festival which showcases student artwork as well as musical and dramatic performances.
