Plantation is a sunny city located in Broward County, Florida, United States of America. Plantation is the place where "The Grass is Greener", according to its motto. The number of residents recently surpassed 85.000 and the area has almost 22 square miles. The name of Plantation came from the previous owner of the land in the area - the Everglades Plantation Company. In 1941, Frederick C. Peters bought a large terrain from the company and the city started to develop. Since then, the city is continuously growing and expanding. Notable residents of Plantation include NFL player Ronnie Brown, rapper Snoop Dogg, novelist Carl Hiaasen, actor Mark Linn-Baker and journalist Bob Norman.
Plantation Heritage Park is located within the city limits of Plantation. The park occupies some of the area that belonged to Everglades Plantation Company and presents bits and pieces of its history. Inside the park, on the shore of a lake, you can enjoy delicious food in a local restaurant.
Young at Art's Children Museum is a unique museum of Plantation where all the works of art of children are exposed and those who visit it are encouraged to create artworks, as they wish.
