two girls enjoying their last minute labor day weekend getaways

Need help finding ideas for an awesome end-of-summer hurrah but don't know where to go yet? Well, we know what you want and we've got it. A trip to the beach? Check. A romantic getaway? We've got multiple. Theme parks? Yep. Free attractions? Of course, we've got those too. Check out our awesome list of the best trip ideas from Las Vegas to Orlando to New York, and many other U.S. cities.

1. Hit the beach

Who doesn't love going to the beach? Make sure you pack your fab swimwear and hit the road the soonest (as you don't want to waste any time in traffic). Have a relaxing day! Visit Chesapeake Beach (also known as “Chick's Beach”) in Calvert County, Maryland, and soak in some sun. You can also go boating, embark on several free outdoor excursions, or skip the sand for a romantic afternoon at the pool.

2. Visit a museum

If you are in an artsy mood, book a car rental in Orlando to begin your road trip adventure. Check out the state-of-the-art Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts, the Orlando Ballet, Orlando Museum of Art, the Cornell Fine Arts Museum, as well as the Orlando Science Center. If you are from Philly, visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art seems like a good idea.

3. Go to the Amusement Park

Looking for a perfect place for relaxation and family bonding? Hit the Virginia Beach Amusement Park for an evening of thrill rides and games. The colorful Orlando offers unique experiences for every traveler to make sure he/she has a memorable vacation whether it's spent at theme parks, like the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Legoland Florida.

4. Hit the dance floor and bust you moves

Not to be missed is the entertainment capital of America. Make sure you book a car rental to the City of Angels through us and start exploring the city at your leisure. You never know which A-list movie star you'll bump into. Stop by at the iconic Hollywood sign,  or bust your moves at fancy clubs and bars in Los Angeles such as Avalon Hollywood, Cameo Bar At The Viceroy, Elevate Lounge and Project LA.

5. Treat your tummy

Reward your tummy and step into  Charleston Grill located at 224 King Street , Charleston in South Carolina,  and enjoy their multi-cuisine. Or dine like you're in Dynasty at the Forge in Miami Beach to get a taste for some South American cuisine .

6. Relax in a big city

Situated at the tip of a peninsula between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific coast, heading to The City with a cheap car rental is perfect if you want to relax. This high-spirited city offers numerous attractions and activities that can appeal to visitors of all ages. From the famous The Golden Gate Bridge to the touristy Fisherman's Wharf to the vibrant Castro –a holiday in San Francisco is a trip you won't forget!

7. Take a selfie at The Top of The Rock

A selfie on The Top of the Rock Observation Deck at the Rockefeller Center in New York is an unforgettable experience! Make sure to check this off your bucket list.

8. Participate in festivals

Make a stop over at the Taste of Colorado Festival, as well as the Colorado State Fair while you're in Denver, Colorado. If you are in Chicago,  find the time to go to the Navy Pier, where wonderful events like musical performances, movie screenings, and fireworks displays will take place this Labor Day weekend.

9. Shop your heart out

Don't forget to treat yourself for all your hard work all year! If you are searching for fancy finds, drive your way to better deals at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. Fashion Island in Newport Beach also provides same quality experience. A quick holiday to Boston is also worth the trip for its massive range of different shopping options.

10. Play some games

To truly forget about work, hit the Vegas shops and clubs. Experience placing a bet at Caesars Palace and get into the spirits and wines of Sin City. Tour the Strip for less than, yes, $10. lounge around the city, and of course, you can't go wrong watching the Bellagio Fountains.
