In the United States, the process works differently to the UK or Australia. Vehicle insurance is compulsory, so generally, it is added to your rental rate. While some providers may provide additional liability coverage, others may not.

Some of the protection products that may be included in your rental rate are:

Supplemental Liability Insurance: Protects the renter for any costs incurred because of injury to others as a result of a vehicle accident.
Damage protection: Reduces a renter's financial liability for any damage that is caused to the RV while it is in their possession.

If you are taking your RV internationally, you may require additional protection products.
