The tabernacle has a capacity of 1500 seats and due to its importance in the history and the heritage of Heber, it was added on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. The building was made with red sandstone brought from Lake Creek and it was initially heated with potbelly stoves. Upgrades were made in 1928 and in 1954. It was sold to the city of Heber in 1980 and now it is a community hall.
