Orange is a township located in New Jersey, United States. Situated in Essex County, Orange has an area of 2.20 square miles (5.7 square kilometers) and a population of over 30,100 residents. Orange was first incorporated in 1806 as a township, while in 1860 the area was reincorporated as a town. Only in 1872, Orange was officially recognized as a city.
